Visit Kasbah Tamadot

Situated in the spectacular High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, the award-winning Kasbah Tamadot is a magical 43 bedroom retreat owned by Sir Richard Branson. He originally bought it during one of his famous ballooning expeditions on the condition that Eve would help support the local Berber people living in the more remote surrounding villages. Kasbah Tamadot is perched at the top of a valley with views up to Mount Toubkal and over to some of the traditional Berber villages that dot the region. Visitors can arrange a stay or have lunch at Kasbah Tamadot.

Morocco’s cultural and natural diversity is a feast for the senses and an experience that you will never forget. We have spent many years building relationships with the local Amazigh or Berber people and we invite guests to experience their culture while leaving a positive benefit in the community. Kasbah Tamadot arranges visits to our craft programmes, connecting artisans and guests. Try your hand at weaving or enjoy a walk through an ancient Berber village.

Today, the team at Kasbah Tamadot is 100% Moroccan with most of the team from the local Berber community. Figures suggest that each individual employed at the hotel supports up to 10 other individuals in their extended family.
