Litter Management
Back to our workKeeping our roadsides clean and safe was becoming a challenge due to infrequent litter collections in the valley. When a group of Virgin Atlantic adventurers visited the region to raise funds for local projects, they not only planted 30 young fruit saplings in the Eve Branson Foundation garden nursery, but at the same time, planted the seeds for the launch of a new litter management scheme by donating the funds to establish rubbish collection points throughout the area.
Since then, hundreds of volunteer litter-pickers from local villages and primary schools join our clean-up crew to make Asni ‘rubbish-free’. In partnership with Kasbah Tamadot, we fund regular litter collection transportation from five villages throughout the year. As part of this ongoing effort, we have also provided new litter bins, painted by local school children.
